Get Pro back on a new phone.

Open Settings in Readout, the gear at the top left, and tap Restore your purchase. Use the same Apple Account or Google account you paid with.

Cancel a plan.

On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Open a file that won't read.

Readout opens PDFs, EPUB, Kindle MOBI and AZW3 without DRM, FB2, Word, RTF, Markdown, text and photos of text. Kindle books bought from Amazon carry DRM, so Readout can't open them. A PDF made of photos reads through the text recognition on your phone.

Get the voices.

The first time you press play, your phone downloads the voices once. Stay online for a minute; after that, Readout reads offline.
